Molly was across the room from me when she turned to look at me:
"Pee-you Mommy. Did you toot?"
"No, did you?"
"Yeah, it stinky."

Winners!
I told Molly the other day "Molly, you're my favorite." When she looked at me and said "No." I asked if she knew what meant. I told her favorite means like the best.
She said, "Mommy, you're my favorite."
I then asked, "Is daddy you're favorite?"
"No"
"Oh, but we're daddy's favorite girls."
*gasp* "Really?? We're WINNERS!"

Commitment issues
Many times some of Molly's funniest sayings happen as she's drifting off to dreamland...Here's one that I had to stop myself from laughing out loud....at how outlandish it was!
To preface - Tommy is her best friend from school, Daddy Harry is Harry from One Direction...and her baby doll's "daddy". (Oh my...)
Molly: "Oh, I have a pink ring at school. I marry Tommy."
Me: "You married Tommy at school?
Molly: "Yeah."
*pause*
"I'm back with Daddy Harry."
Me: *baffled but trying to keep calm* "You're back with Daddy Harry?"
Molly: "Yeah, Tommy had to go home."
Me: "Oh, Tommy went home before you did today?"
Molly: "Yeah."
*pause*
"I love you, mommy."
Me: "I love you, Molly. Goodnight."

Best of the best
The other day I was doing a little of the ab work that we start each dance class with. Trying to do this with Molly around proved to be a little challenging. Although there was a bit more motivation to keep my plank up with her crawling around under me! When she asked what I was doing I told her we do it at dance class. She wanted to do some exercise with me & then said "Get up and dance with me, mama. You're the best dancer ... EVER!" Sure, if you say so.
Later this week she was up on her "podium" singing one of her many tunes. She loudly stated "I'm the best singer in the WORLD!" As her parent, I believe a healthy dose of confidence is an ok thing, so I'll let her continue on with this thinking for now.

Saying sorry
Last night Molly and I were playing with her magnadoodle art pad. I would draw something and she would guess what it was. "A jellyfish? A octopus?......a guitar!" (My drawing skills aren't always the best).
One of my turns I was just about finished drawing an owl and she came over and erased it. She grabbed the art pad and went into her closet. I told her that wasn't very nice and her behavior was making me sad. No reaction...except to close the closet door.
As I sat there for the next few minutes cleaning up her room, she came out and sat down in front of me and said "I'm sorry, mommy." I told her I really appreciated her apology (since it came totally unprompted.) "You sad, mommy?" "Yes, when you erased my picture and took the pad away, it made me sad." At this point she had the pad sitting on her lap and she moved it, stood up, and gave me a hug and said "I'm sorry, mommy." again.
I'm proud that she realized her actions weren't right and apologized for them. It was really sweet.

Snuggles
Probably my favorite part of days lately is early morning snuggles. Part of it is because she will sometimes wake as early as 6:15 and I want to stay in bed. But also, it's pretty special to have such a loving cutie and I know the time will come (too soon!) when she will not want to snuggle.
Tonight at bedtime as she was falling asleep she said "Mommy, I want to snuggle." I asked "Under your blanket?" (She had been kicking it off.) And she said "No, I want to snuggle in your arms. In your arms, mommy." Awww. So sweet!

Broken hearted
We're not really sure where she learned the phrase, but Molly has been talking lately about how her "heart is breaking into little pieces." (The only thing we can think of is when we tell her we love her, sometimes she'll say "No you don't!" and we tell her that hurts our hearts. )
She's told us about her heart a couple different times. When she brought it up, we asked her if it was feeling better. She said "Yeah, it all better." We asked her "Who fixed it?" and her response was "Daddy Harry!*"
*Daddy Harry is Banjo's imaginary daddy (Molly is Banjo's mommy). Also, the name Harry comes from Harry....of One Direction. She's already started crushing on male singers. Coming from a generation where I crushed pretty hard on various members of BSB & NSync, I am ok with this development. ( Although I'm pretty sure I never had any pretend children with any of them...maybe I should be a little concerned.......)

Let's get a move on
Molly's been fighting a terrible cough this week, and we finally made an appointment to see the doctor about it. At the same time I was on the phone with the doctor's office, she cut her finger. It was really hurting her. I told her we were going to the doctor in a little bit. She looked at her finger, still crying from pain, and said "We need to go to the doctor....quickly!" I was impressed with her use of the word but had to distract her until it was time to go. (Lunch & Yo Gabba Gabba always work nicely for doing that.)
At the doctor she insisted on taking bunny. When the nurse and the doctor asked about what was wrong with bunny, she said "Bunny bumped and has an owie." They were both so good to make sure to take a look at bunny before Molly. She's not scared of the doctor, so I'm not sure why she wanted bunny there....but it was pretty cute. :o)

Wonder woman
We are a big fan of the little people toys around here. We have quite the collection of animals, people, superheroes, and princesses.
The other morning Molly crawled into bed early in the morning for some early morning snuggles. It didn't take long for her to see one of her little people on the dresser. She loudly and excitedly pointed and said "It's Woman-woman!"
