McDonald's playground

We've been having a tough time with nap lately.  We thought we'd try to go to McDonald's for lunch as a reward for her potty progress and to wear her out before nap.
It had been a few weeks since we'd been and we were able to see how much she has grown with the ease she was able to climb UP the steps.  The problem came when she's still not quite tall enough to realize how to get DOWN the steps.  After about 10 minutes trying different ways to get her down from the tippy-top step & the tears starting, I had to climb up there.  This was quite embarrassing for me as the other parents watched, but I didn't see any other way to go.   (side note: Now that I have a toddler, it takes a LOT for me to judge other mothers and what they do....I hope the same is true for other mother's and their lack of judgment in the things I do.  Kids are kids and they're tough to deal with sometimes.  Let's just remember that and understand that we're all doing the best we can.)
She got to a level where she could maintain playing in the tunnels, so we let her play for about 20 minutes.
Ok, time to go and we tried to convince her that if she went down the slide she wouldn't have to maneuver all the steps down. Another 10 minutes pass, I'm not happy and climbing up into the play area again to retrieve her.
Much crying on the way to the car as she repeated "I want to go down the slide."  In frustration I said "You had many chances to go down the ding dang slide!"  Then the crying turned into "I want to go down the ding dong slide..."   Quite thankful for the one vowel change.  All I could do was laugh...and remind myself to watch what I say as she is repeating more and more.
